OUR STORY
After graduating from college in 1980, Jim started his working career at Eastman Kodak Company. While working at Kodak he began investing in real estate, purchasing multi-family properties in Rochester. This provided an excellent segway into the brokerage business and in 1986 he received this NYS real estate license (along with his wife Karen) and began to sell investment properties around the Park Avenue area. Shortly thereafter, he received his Broker’s license and began the CCIM educational program (see “What is a CCIM” on the About page). In 1991 he received the CCIM designation passing the final exam in Washington D.C. Since that time he has completed hundreds of transactions with a sales / leasing volume up to $22 million per year. In 2007 Jim received his real estate license in South Carolina and completed 1031 tax deferred exchange transactions, buying & selling vacation rental properties in Hilton Head and Bluffton. The final chapter (to date) was when Jim’s son Jimmy joined the company in 2016. Jimmy has been a great addition bringing new ideas and energy to the company.
